Role overview
We are looking for a senior web engineer who has shipped non-trivial products to production and can carry a delivery squad through architecture, code review, and the messy parts of launch. You will work directly with founders, product leads, and senior engineers across multiple time zones.
What you will own
- Architecture and delivery. Lead the design of front-end systems for enterprise apps, dashboards, and AI tooling. Own the path from RFC to released code.
- Quality bar. Set the standard for testing, performance, accessibility, and observability on the web. Pair with engineers to keep that bar honest.
- Cross-functional partnership. Work side-by-side with designers, backend engineers, and product. Translate ambiguous requirements into clear scope and trade-offs.
- Mentorship. Coach mid-level and junior engineers through reviews, pairing, and design walkthroughs.
What we look for
- 5+ years of production experience with TypeScript and modern React (hooks, server components, suspense).
- Deep familiarity with Next.js (App Router), state management patterns, and edge / serverless deployment.
- Strong eye for performance budgets, Core Web Vitals, and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA).
- Comfortable owning the full stack of a feature: API design, schema, caching, queues, and the UI.
- Track record of code reviews that raise the team, not just gatekeep.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI / LLM integrations (RAG, evals, streaming UIs).
