Predictive maintenance without a platform rebuild
A slim telemetry layer and a basic model reduced surprise outages.
Instead of rebuilding the data stack, we added just enough signal:
- Captured four machine health metrics at the edge and streamed them every five minutes.
- Deployed a lightweight anomaly detector that raised early tickets in the existing service desk.
- Built a simple feedback loop so technicians could mark false positives.
Within two months, avoidable service calls dropped and the ops team trusted the alerts because they could correct them in the field.
